Periphery

Periphery (Instrumental) (2010)

Periphery (2010)

Icarus EP (2011)
Mediafire

With the recent announcement of one of my favorite band's new album releases, I gathered links for their entire discography here. I would suggest getting all three of these, I love the original self-titled with vocals but I do love jamming to the instrumental version as well. Be dazzled by distortion, be bombarded by bass beats, and jitter bug to jent! Periphery! Love that shit!

The Early November

Room's Too Cold (2003)
Mediafire

I'm happy to hear that this band is back together and writing a new album. One of my favorite bands from my early teen years. Never thought I'd ever get to see them play live but I actually got the chance just a few days ago and they sounded great, as if they had never really left. I'm trying hard to find a link for The Mother, The Mechanic, and The Path but it's not going to well, if I find it I'll throw it up here. Until the new album comes out you should follow this link to watch a trailer for the new album to be released in July 3rd, 2012, here.

It's never been harder to fall
There's nothing to grab and that's all I want to hold onto
Just another sweep and it'll be fine
But this carpet's got hills and I can't see this helping at all

Renaissance Sound

Renaissance Sound (2012)
Bandcamp

Wow this band is incredible. The band name really says it all, math rock base with quite literally, a renaissance sound. Violins, vibrophones, and the occasional vocal. They're just one of those bands that will get you moving upon first listen. This is my favorite find of the morning, I'm going to keep looking but it's going to be hard to top this!

This Town Needs Guns-New Song

I'm excited as can be for the new This Town Needs Guns album. This video is a little teaser made by the band showing off one of their new songs. I think Henry is going to really do a great job as the new vocalist and can't wait for the album to drop. Such style, such technique, taptaptap.

Delta Sleep

Delta Sleep EP (2010)
Bandcamp

Four song EP by UK based band Delta Sleep. Math rock with sparse vocals. Immense, groovy, jammy, crazy. Free download over at Bandcamp.

Ahleuchatistas

What You Will (2006)
Mediafire

Location Location (2011)
Download

Ahleuchatistas is a two person duo from North Carolina. Their music reminds me a lot of Hella, but even more experimental if you can believe it. Its heavy math rock, extremely jagged and cutting but with a sense of direction and build. If you're into math rock style of drumming, you're gunna love this band. Drum rolls like crazzzyyy. Here is their newest release as well as an older one available for download.

Atlas At Last

Ceviche (2011)
Bandcamp

Gritty Friction

Primo (2011)
Bandcamp

Facebook has a habit of suggesting bands I may like in the sidebar and honestly it does a pretty good job. This caught my eye because it said it was similar/influenced byBaths. If you're looking to find some new electronic/dance/breakbeat music then give this project a listen. They're giving this away for free as well as all of their other releases.
