The Devil Wears Prada

Dead Throne (2011)
Mediafire

This is the newest release of TDWP. This album is certainly more aggressive, breakdowns are more thought out rather than dumbed down. Starts off hard with one of my favorite tracks, "Dead Throne." Jeremy's seemingly angelic vocals are tuned down a bit on this album, making his voice fit the metalcore genre a bit more, its more raspy, and often blended with Mike's screams. Speaking of Mike's screams, he certainly is the center point for the band, although many people have agreed that his high pitch shouts are deteriorating, but what do you expect from someone who screams for a living. His voice is dominating the genre at the moment as the band grows in popularity, I would certainly recommend this album. People are turned off from this band a lot because its in the Christian Metal genre, but honestly, Mike questions the principles of faith very deeply on all his albums, even a non-religious person could relate. If you like metalcore, this is a hot album right now.

Tangled Hair

First (2010)
Mediafire

Featuring the former members of the band Colour, I am happy to hear a similar sound. Alan Welsh voice certainly adds a finishing touch to the rhythmic patterns and riffs known to the math rock genre.

Swims

Swims (2006)
Mediafire

Swims is a two piece band from California experiementing in the art of math-rock. This albums not too long so give it a listen if you like the genre. Post rock influence as well.

Ear Candy For the Headphone Trippers (2007)
Mediafire

Well this band formed in 1998, but the music is certainly worth the listen. Some members of this band are now in the band Good Old War. Chris Frangicetto plays bass for this band, he is the brother of Colin Frangicetto, guitarist for Circa Survive. Mapping An Invisible World is their full length album. My favorite song is "Mirrors", give it a listen!

Just Like Vinyl

    Self-Titled (2010)
    FileServe

After the break up of the much loved The Fall of Troy, frontman Thomas Erak combined forces with three other members to create Just Like Vinyl.  The band has been on a number of recent tours, and is gaining respect across the nation. Fans of The Fall of Troy should not be disappointed, although one should never expect the same album twice.

Norma Jean

Meridional (2010)
Mediafire

After a number of records since the band's debut, Norma Jean has created a sound blending their unique style of southern hardcore with more harmonious vocals and intense lasting breakdowns. This album has received high ratings from a number of sources. "Bastardizer" is my favorite on the album, the missile impact at the beginning blew my mind first time I heard it.

Adebisi Shank

This Is the Second Album of a Band Called Adebisi Shank (2010)
Mediafire

This is less of an album and more of a children's adventure book. Every song puts you front and center at the scene of something amazing. The music is incredibly unique and creative, if you enjoy math rock and really just have any appreciation for good music whatsoever, then you should check this album out. The album starts of leaving the listener a little unsure of what will unfold, but then the cymbals crash and the anthem begins. My personal favorite tracks are "Logdrum", "(-_-)", "Genki Shank" and "Europa". The album as a whole is amazing though and should be played through fully, hey its even great for parties.

If you like this check out some of their previous work, they've got some very worthwhile listens!
